 An Embark Breed + Health dog DNA test enables a dog owner to learn about their pup’s breed, ancestry, health, relatives, and more with a simple cheek swab. With a research-grade DNA genotyping platform, Embark looks at over 250 breeds and more than 175 genetic health conditions and traits.  

 A nomograph is an estimate of the amount of antibody passed to a litter of pups from the mother via her colostrum.    Nomograph testing helps us understand the best timing of vaccination to assure a litter will be effectively immunized. Because the nomograph is limited by the ability of the dam to make colostrum and for the pups to receive it, nomograph results should not be used as a definitive indication of protection from disease.  

 The OFA, working with the breed's parent club, recommends the following basic health screening tests for all breeding stock. Dogs meeting these basic health screening requirements will be issued Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) numbers.  

In a race against the many genetic diseases that affect purebred animals, we are working hard to expand the genetic disease detection services offered through VetGen. In addition to the research that is taking place in our own lab, we are seeking collaborations with other leading canine researchers so that ultimately their research may be offered to animal breeders and owners as well.

Ruth Darlen Stewart is  an AKC judge and the Chairperson for the Health and Genetics Committee  of the National Beagle Club of America.  She has a special interest in beagle health problems and genetics.   She has a detailed compilation of Bealgle Heath issues available  to research on her website.

Brooke Ayala is our exclusive handler in the United States and has shown several of our beagles to Top 20.   She has retired from handling full time and will now be able to focus on her breeding program.  Our first co-bred litter was born in February 2020.

As Rebecca likes to say, we are like sisters.  Way to many similar likes including our type of beagles!  We both enjoy ribbing Brooke and loving on puppies too, always the puppies.

Sheryl and Danny approached us in 2016 looking to expand into a new breed from their successful Sheltie program.  They finished their first beagle Roxie from us with a !5" Best of Variety win .  Miss Tiny Bubbles or Ivy 2.0 is heading their way, so watch out beagle world!

Fenric is a young man we have been mentoring in the beagle breed.   He has Lakeland Terriers along with his Beagles.  He particpates actively in AKC Junior Handling and does equally as well in the breed ring.  Very proud to have helped bring this new kennell name into the breed.

These two ladies make quite the team.  First show out, Kylie & Katie win Best Junior Handler in February of 2018.  They ended the 2018  year #3 Ranked Junior in 13" Beagles Nationally.

Excited about this new mentorship!  Always happy to bring new people into the AKC Show Beagle world and the National Beagle Club.   It's exciting to get your first show quality beagle and I can't wait for her shine in both UKC & AKC venues.  Wish her weill and welcome her ringside when you get the chance!

X-Cellence Beagles and Boxers, taking  over for SigntnScent from the Phillipines -  joins the WolfRun team with this special Red Girl Livi.  I wanted her to stay, so now she'll get to finish her AM CH with us here before becoming a jetsetter.

Fetch & Smell Beagles and Golden Retrievers  is one of our International Partners located in Santiago, Chile.  Our current show team is a collaborative breeding that is showing excellent prospects.  First show out -  BIS Puppy!

MG Beagles  from Mexico has contributed greatly to our breeding program with his stud dog MG Carlos Gardel.  We are looking forwad to future collabortive breedings and some exciting puppy prospects.
